Day 1 | Arrival
Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport, you will be met by a Menzies Aviation representative and assisted through customs and immigration. You will then be assisted with check in procedures for your onward flight to Skukuza Airport.
- Upon landing at Skukuza Airport in the Kruger National Park, an &Beyond representative will meet you, and fellow guests, and drive you to your lodge in the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve.
Day 2 to 4
Sabi Sand Nature Reserve
- The Sabi Sand Game Reserve is situated in the southwestern corner of the world-renowned Kruger National Park and consists of 65 000 hectares (160 620 acres). It is the most prestigious game reserve in South Africa and is famous for incredible leopard sightings.
- Home to a host of animals, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino), the Sabi Sand is part of a conservation area that covers over two million hectares (almost five million acres), an area equivalent to the state of New Jersey.
- Explore the bush on twice-daily game drives that ventures out into the bush in search of the iconic Big Five, as well as a host of other fascinating creatures.
- Your experienced ranger and tracker team will discuss what you hope to see prior to the drive and will do their best to find all your favourite animals for you.
- Choose to set off on a quick bush walk and explore the finer details of your surroundings, from animal tracks to plants, insects, and birds, or if booked in advance, a Specialist Walking Safari which is tailored to your needs.
Day 5
Cape Town
- An &Beyond representative will meet you, and fellow guests, at your lodge and drive you to Skukuza Airport, in time to connect with your scheduled flight to Cape Town International Airport.
- Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by a member from the &Beyond team who will drive you to your hotel. As you drive toward the city, your view from afar will be Table Mountain, one of the most spiritual places on earth, with its heart, two oceans and the beautiful city of Cape Town at its feet.
Day 6 and 7
Cape Town
- Enjoy a scenic tour of Cape Town at iconic Table Mountain or, if the weather is not favourable, at the flat-topped mound known as Signal Hill.
- Browse vibrant Greenmarket Square, one of the city’s oldest markets, and take a walk-through Company Gardens, established by Dutch settlers in 1652.
- Drive past the Houses of Parliament and the historical Castle of Good Hope, as well as the Slave Lodge, which used to house thousands of slaves belonging to the Dutch East India Company.
- Visit the traditional Malay Quarter in the predominantly Muslim Bo-Kaap, with its brightly coloured houses dating back as far as the 17th century. Pause to listen to the firing of the noonday gun from Signal Hill.
- Explore the scenic highlights of the Cape Peninsula, beginning at the spectacular coastal suburb of Hout Bay, a former fishing village with a long, sandy beach facing a bay framed by the mountains.
- Discover the restaurants, shops and markets of Mariner’s Wharf, a harbour-front emporium with a distinct maritime ambiance.
- Depending on whether the road is open, continue along the breathtaking Chapman’s Peak Drive before heading to the Cape of Good Hope to explore the nature reserve, see the Diaz Cross and perhaps even indulge in lunch at a local restaurant.
- Travel to Simon’s Town, famous for its naval military base, and then visit the charming penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
- Revel at the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, set against the eastern slopes of spectacular Table Mountain.
Day 8
Cape Winelands
- After breakfast, you will be collected by a member from the &Beyond team who will drive you from Cape Town to the Cape Winelands.
- Look forward to exploring some of the most beautiful and famous winelands districts in the world. A discovery of top-class wines, locally produced cheeses, olives and much more awaits you.
Day 9
Cape Winelands
- Explore the wine region – wine estates visited will vary according to your preferences and tailored to the various estates’ opening hours, but the tour includes the region’s major wine producing areas and visits some beautiful wine estates for tastings of high-quality vintages.
Franschhoek:
Meander through exquisite Franschhoek, tucked away in a valley tightly hemmed in by mountains. Discover how a small band of French Huguenots settled here in 1688 and developed the viniculture that exists today. Visit the impressive Huguenot Memorial and the neighbouring museum, and wander through the town’s beautiful gardens.
Stellenbosch:
South Africa’s second-oldest town, Stellenbosch provides another glimpse of classic 17th and 18th century Cape style, with a chance to browse quaint Dorp Street, visit the museum or explore the many galleries and shops of this university town.
- Enjoy lunch in either Franschhoek or Stellenbosch en route.
Day 10 | Departure
Cape Winelands
- After one last breakfast, it is time to bid South Africa a fond farewell.
- A member from the &Beyond team will collect you from your hotel and drive you to Cape Town International Airport, in time for your onward arrangements.
