A convenient outlook in the grasslands
Safari scribbles:
While in the open grasslands in the south of &Beyond Phinda Private Game Reserve, we followed these two male cheetah as they walked.. They made their way directly towards a prominent marula tree on top of the ridge. After scent-marking the base of the tree, both male cheetah then jumped up into the tree and used it as a vantage point to scan the surrounding grassland for any hunting opportunities. With no antelope around, both males then jumped out of the tree and lay down to rest up for the morning
