&Beyond staff changes

JOHANNESBURG - After 15 years of leading &BEYOND (previously Conservation Corporation Africa or “CC Africa”), Steve and Nicky Fitzgerald will be leaving the company and their respective roles as Deputy Chairman and Marketing Director.

Following much deliberation, Steve and Nicky have decided that it is an appropriate time for them to step back from the business to pursue other personal and business interests. Group Operations Director, Debra Fox, will be departing at the same time.

“We want to acknowledge the contribution made by Steve, Nicky and Debra. They are exceptional individuals and leave a legacy of caring for guests and staff alike. Their passion, energy and commitment have been outstanding,” says Mark Getty, Joint Chairman of &BEYOND Holdings.

In August the executive team was restructured with previous CFO, Debbie Meyer, taking up the position of Chief Executive Officer and Commercial Director, Gary Lotter, becoming Chief Operating Officer. The rest of the leadership team remains in place.

&BEYOND owns and operates 46 luxury lodges and camps and creates personalised travel experiences in South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Tanzania, Kenya and India. The company was established more than 18 years ago and its commitment to warm local hospitality, sustainable responsible travel and community empowerment is world renowned.
